Valley View names Peters as CEO

FORT MOJAVE - Valley View Medical Center has announced that Allen E. Peters will be the hospital's new Chief Executive Officer on April 21. He has 15 years of progressive health care management experience.

Peters is currently the chief operating officer at Vaughan Regional Medical Center, a 175-bed hospital in Selma, Alabama. He has held the position for nearly two years. Peters was previously vice president of patient care services and chief operating officer for Murray-Calloway County Hospital, a 366-bed health system located in Murray, Kentucky. He was also associate administrator for Wesley Medical Center, a 760-bed Level I Trauma Center in Wichita, Kansas.

“Allen's strong background in hospital operations and passion for excellence will be an asset to Valley View,” said Ann Pettit, Chairman of the Valley View Board of Trustees. “He has a proven record in building teams, fostering strong physician relations, and creating ties to the community. We are pleased and excited about having him as a new member of our hospital family and the community.”

“During Allen's tenure at Vaughan, the hospital has experienced increased growth as well as improvements in employee, patient and physician satisfaction scores,” said Don Bivacca, President of LifePoint Hospitals' National Division.
